Comment: The Fest allows creative juices to flow, punsters to celebrate, sculptors to indulge in edible mediums, and EVERYONE to have a good time! Yes indeed, when April 1 arrives, we hope many of you will have entries ready to display. The only rule for this contest is to make edible art reflecting books in shape or content. Judging will begin at 4:00 pm. Cookies, punch, and coffee will be available to visitors as they view the creations. The competition is offered to professional chefs (whose creations can be eaten on the premises), amateurs, and junior chefs (under 18). Each of the three categories will be divided into two groups: creations that are entirely edible, and those which use an inedible item as a prop. Application forms will be available at the library front desk beginning mid-February. During this event, an "All around Town" raffle will be held with prizes and gift certificates provided by local retailers. This year, participants will have three chances to win tickets, discounts and other freebies!
